The Cathedral of Valencia is a unique Gothic architectural masterpiece, although it also has subtle touches of various other styles like the Romanesque, Renaissance, Baroque and also Neoclassic. The Cathedral is the see of the bishops and it was founded in the 13th century by the first bishop of Valencia and, since then, it´s “house of God” and it represents the whole of the Christian diocese. Some parts of the church are important and have a special meaning in the architecture like, for example, the gate of L´Almoina, Obra Nova, the gate of Apóstoles or the Micalet or Miguelete, which is the belltower. But the most magnificent of it all is that there lies the Holy Chalice, of the first century, which is located in the chapel of the same name, whose architecture is amazing, with enormous domes, windows and columns.
