The beaches of Essaouira and Agadir, Morocco

It’s surprising how affordable it is to travel to this North African country. For starters the currency, the dirham, offers exceptional exchange rates. Eating, sleeping, shopping, and excursions will cost very little. I would recommend that while in Morocco you get to know Essaouira and Agadir, two coastal cities where you can eat freshly caught fish, walk along its crowded souks featuring typical products, and even surf if you’d like. Its beaches on the Atlantic are often quite windy, which is why the cities, and especially Essaouira, are favorite destinations for surfers looking for new adventures in Africa.

The beaches of Porto, Portugal

This is a very affordable destination for travelers looking to take a few days off without spending all their savings. With wild beaches and fishing villages, these are great places to spend a few days with family. But if you’re used to sand, you may want to know in advance that there is none. It has a rocky landscape, which is nice nonetheless, and the “sand” is actually made up of small stones and bits of shells. If you like to be alone on the beach, you’ll want to head out of the city. Some are virtually untouched and some are more than 500 million years old. Here are some I recommend: Praia de Ourigo, Praia da Señora da Luz, Praia dos ingleses, Praia do Molhe, Praia de Horem do Leme, Praia do Castejo do Queijo, and Praia de Gondarém.

The beaches of Tenerife, Spain

Although it is one main tourist areas in Spain, Tenerife is not expensive as a destination. Costa Adeje is the best-known area of the island and a holiday destination, but there’s so much more to Tenerife. The northern beaches of the island are cooler and wilder than the ones in the south, which are usually also more crowded. The north greener, while the south is more desert-like and less colorful, with nothing to see. I suggest getting to know them all. My favorite beaches in the south are the Playa de los Gigantes y la Playa de las Américas. And I recommend Garachico in the north, Punta de Teno, Buenavista del Norte and La Orotava, which are majestic.

The beaches of Malta

In the middle of the Mediterranean, Malta is an affordably priced destination. On any of the 3 main islands, you can enjoy a holiday in style and at a good price. Malta, Gozo and Comino are all three exceptional diving destinations and cheaper, for example, than the Greek islands. The sea is full of colorful fish and turtles. And you don’t even need to dive down, since the water is so clear that you can see everything by simply putting your head under water. Malta is an ideal place for a holiday with friends or family that will leave you with plenty of spending money.

The beaches of Southern Italy

Southern Italy is cheaper than the north. And its beaches are quite simply heavenly. The Amalfi Coast, which you can travel along when you go down SS-163, is a great place to explore. There are so many spots we could mention. The most expensive along the coast are Amalfi and Positano, but a quick stop in each should be mandatory just the same.
