Sala Taboó is a space open to Madrid´s nighttime cultural activities where concerts alternate with multidisciplinary shows. Its eclectic decoration was carried out by Júlio Velasco and it reflects the philosophy of the place, open to the world and its cultures, with Vietnamese dragons, Maori totems and Latin American objects.
Sala Taboó is a place that gathers all types of people who like to have a good time without complications, in an atmosphere that incites disinhibition and having a good time with music and a few drinks.
Located in the heart of Malasaña, the historical avant-garde neighbourhood of 80s Madrid, it has the best in sound equipment, ventilation, anti-fire systems, multimedia screens and air-con in order to have the highest technical standard concerts with the highest security.
One of the peculiarities that Taboó has is that every night there are new images projected on the walls and the music, giving the impression of being in a different place. The music is generally avant-garde or a fusion of ethnic music, although there´s danceable music like world beat, reggae, funky, dub or even house.
A good plan is to rent apartments in Madrid and go out and enjoy Sala Taboó like the old times.
