As its name indicates, Caffè Letterario is a cultural space created to combine the pleasure of reading with a coffee shop and restaurant which conjugate to give the client a pleasant time.
Located in a privileged area for art in Rome, the area of the old slaughterhouse which is today the ´City of the Arts´, Caffè Letterario was designed by the architects Alfredo and Vicenio Caporale Pultrone as a polyvalent space of 1,000 sq metres which holds the commercial and cultural part thought out for this project.
The Bookshop gives the chance both to buy and read books right there while you enjoy a good coffee or an apéritif, so you can then go on and sample the delicacies which are on offer at the restaurant. The doors of Caffè Letterario open at 9am and remain so until 11pm.
As well as literature and good food, Caffè Letterario offers us an abundant activity programme like art film, book presentations and lectures, art exhibitions, fashion shows and concerts of varied music styles.
