Deli Delux Lisbon

The shop and cafeteria Deli Delux is one of those places that make the city of Lisbon so special.

 

At the entrance we´re received with baskets full of organic fruits and vegetables on sale, as well as elegant flowers to take home. Inside, there´s the part where we see the national and imported products are, which are difficult to resist.

 

Cheese like the Strachino, Tallegio, ´vintage´ Parmesan, regional Portuguese cheeses, hams, preserves and fresh bread to accompany it.

 

They sell jams, sauces, pastas, rices and gourmet creation creams. Imported products for the elaboration of Italian, Portuguese and Oriental dishes. Biscuits, tea and chocolate of the the finest English and Portuguese brands to take home or for friends.

 

Some of the best-known wines of various prices and for each occasion can be found on the orderly and attractive shelves that take up one of the shop´s walls.

 

At the end of the room there´s a cafeteria with a terrace next to the Taugus river, where they serve tapas, breakfasts, cheeses and wines. On Sundays they have brunch.

 

It´s all a few metres away from the popular neighbourhood of the Alfama, where there are also some of our apartments in Lisbon
