We see important marathons being run all the time around the world. Many people travel to cities to be able to enjoy these races and do what they love: run. One of the strangest, and therefore, famous races around the world is the Empire State Building Run-Up where, just like if the elevator was broken, the runners will have to run up the stairs all the way to the top.
It seems easy but it isn´t, because the Empire State in New York has no less than 1575 steps from the ground floor to the 86th floor. Despite it not being the tallest building in the world anymore, this race is still one of the most popular. In 2007 they beat the women´s race record. It was Suzy Walsham who did it in 13 minutes and 12 seconds. Meanwhile, the men´s record is held by Paul Crake who managed it in 9 minutes and 33 seconds.
To be able to register for the race, you just have to contact the New York Road Runners Club. If you want to run the Empire State Building Run-Up, you just have to rent apartments in New York and also enjoy one of the most famous and interesting cities from around the world.
