An enormous amount of folkloric groups of Germany, Turkey, Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovakia, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Montenegro and more countries from Europe will be attending the new version of the international Folklore Festival in Vienna, three days of music, dance, typical foods and tradition in the Austrian capital.
Despite that Vienna is the cultural capital of classical music and the great composers, during the 13th, 14th and 15th of January it transforms into the capital of folklore, congregating a large amount of bands, traditional dancers, solo artists and other activities associated to folklore and traditional culture from different regions of Europe. The show will take place in different precincts destined to the festival and I can tell you, based on the previous festivals, that it´s of great beauty and interest. The strongest day will be the 14th of January, when they will present all the music bands and dance groups during the whole day and most of the night. Apart from these activities, they have produced tourist routes for the participants and the public of the festival, such as visits to the most beautiful historical palaces, museums and churches of the city.
Regarding the prices, there´s an offer for the attendants which encompasses everything from the travel to the accommodation, food, tourist guides, etc. for the duration of the whole festival. I recommend renting and apartment in Vienna and enjoying some beautiful days of holiday, since you´ll be much more comfortable and free of strict timetables.
