Jazz Café´t Geveltje has 25 years experience as a place open for good music lovers. Inaugurated in the 80s as a folk music café, it evolved shyly towards jazz and fusion jazz, becoming a school of the great exponents of this type of music in Holland. Everything is about fun here, you only need to be ready to have a good time, because the place was completely rebuilt to have an accoustic according to the laws and that the sounds stay inside the café. It also has a bar where you can freshen up with delicious beers and some drinks that lift the decibels of fun. Located in the Jordaan district, on Bloemgracht 170, it´s open from Monday to Saturday from 8pm to 3am, open an hour later on Thursdays and opening at 10pm on Fridays.
Joseph Lam is a place founded in 1975 as a tribute to the dixieland band with the same name, that was the interpreter of the most famous band during the Second World War. Located on Van Diemenstraat 242, next to Oude Houthaven. During the week you can listen to different jazz bands and on Sundays you can attend it´s legendary jam sessions. Here you´ll find a good atmosphere, affordable prices and ensured fun.
If you love all music, we recommend Café Meander, on Voetboogstraat 3, a few yards away from ABC Treehouse. This place invites you to enjoy a festive atmosphere where you can listen to different live jazz music styles, trip-hop, dance, disco, soul, funk and salsa. Also, there are fun parties with DJs for those who feel alone at 30.
