Museum of Flamenco Dance

To many, flamenco is one of the most important traditions in Sevilla. Many people get together (a lot more a few decades ago although the tradition is still preserved) in the “tablaos” (restaurants where they dance) to enjoy this art with their friends, partners or family.

In the 18th century the Casa de Palacio was built which is where the Museum of Flamenco Dance currently is and its an institution in which the visitors will be able to submerge themselves in this mysterious, sensual and passionate world.

The museum opened its doors the public in 2006 and the original idea was of the famous dancer Cristina Hoyos who was born, raised and grew up in the same street where the museum is. Cristina is one of the most famous and respected dancers alive and has worked with some of the most important dancers in history like Antonio Gades, Enrique el Coto and Pilar López.

In this museum you can enjoy all of the history of this art that accompanies the south of Spain and that formed its history throughout the years.

If you´re a lover of this style of dance and music, get Seville accommodation and enjoy the Museo del Baile Flamenco.
