Traveling alone in Lisbon
The advantages of traveling alone start in the very decision of the tour itinerary, true, it is quite possible that you never really decide anything, just as it is also hard to determine when the trip begins and ends, but men also live of illusions and when we travel without company it is nice to not be forced to compromise with anybody or destination or route. The Misfits and JuiceheaD in Lisbon
From that legendary album called ´Walk Among Us´ until today, you could say that Misfits haven´t had growing success, quite the opposite actually. However, honouring that first founding decade of Horror Punk, when Glenn Danzig was their leader with that unique mark and voice, it´s worth talking about them and recommending going to see them, even if it´s just once. The Misfits were born in 1977 in New Jersey as a project by Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only, to which they later added the drummer and the bass player. It wasn´t until 1982 when they released their first album, ´Walk Among Us´, which was almost the debut and goodbye of the band in its original formation because, a year later, Danzig broke up the band due to internal problems, although they´d already recorded the album ´Earth A.D / Wolfs Blood´ and then an EP after that. After this event, Jerry Only decided to regroup the band again and he formed what would be the second coming of The Misfits, at the same time that Danzig started a pretty successful solo career. I don´t think that it´s worth it to talk about the band´s third coming, but rather of how important the band have been down the years. They´re considered as one of the most important punk bands of the last 30 years, an influence of an aesthetic style and a theme that gave a breath of fresh air to punk rock. Travel Bloggers play an important role in promoting tourism online sharing their adventures and experiences. Proof of this is that this year, unprecedented, these travel enthusiasts have had access to the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR) with its own accreditation. On Friday January 20 a social event of over 150 travel bloggers took place. The Travel Bloggers Meeting is a regular meeting that brings together bloggers from Spain, the rest of Europe and South America. The appointment was in FITUR and the route began at 12 at the stand of Tourism of Chile. Only-Apartments was there, accompanied by Kayak, sponsoring and enjoying the event. At Only-apartments we share the passion of discovering new places and we believe in the philosophy of traveling without being tourists, knowing the target and local cities. That´s why we have rewarded one of the bloggers, Cristina Venegas from Estaentumundo.com, with three nights at one of our apartments in Lisbon.
