Young artists in New York
The Ungovernables arrives in the New Museum in New York. Under this successful label of ungovernables, the American institution, as part of its Triennial of Art, the most suggestive chosen by artists, coming literally from all over the world and born between the mid of the seventies and mid eighties. These ungovernables barely are thirty-five years old and many of them are still on their twenties. This second New York triennial (the first was held in 2009 under the title “Younger than Jesus”, artists who by that time were less that thirty-three) aimed to put into the arena of international emerging proposals, works of artist, no matter their political stance, religious or philosophical currents. This is about giving some spaces to artists, who, otherwise, would be in risk of putting themselves permanently at the borders of the (un) communication. For the tourist or the local, these events are designed for all contemporary art lovers, it will be open until the 22nd of April. Here you have the link of the event where you can get further information: http://www.newmuseum.org/exhibitions/448/the_ungovernables. And what is what is presented in “Ungovernables “? Well, beyond the traditional genres (painting, sculpture, drawing…), the organizers have opted to prioritize works that, in one way or another, affect the temporary, or the transtemporary nature of the contemporary world. Big sculptures are part of facilities, performances and video projects. In addition, it is not given any priority to the individual artist with their name, though of course, instead of that, the artists make a synergy and even activities and products implemented by a group of artists are associated temporarily...Personal Shopper Milan

The Royal Palace in Paris
Located close to the Louvre museum, this imposing and majestic palace boasts an interesting and immense history. The palace was created by Cardinal Richelieu, chief executive of King Louis XIII, who was famous for having his pluses and minuses with the famous musketeers of Alexandre Dumas´ novel. The building of the palace was designed by architect Jacques Lemercier in 1624 and originally the building was named Palais Cardinal (Cardinal´s Palace). Richelieu gave it to the Crown before his death and thereafter, it begins to be known as the Royal Palace. In 1784 it opened its gardens to the public, which galleries were used for apartments, shops, cafes and restaurants and two theaters. The police could not access this area, which gave it an aura of freedom, sometimes debauchery, much appreciated by artists and intellectuals of the time. There, one could read the books of Rousseau and Voltaire, banned by the censors. At this time, again the center of political intrigue and one of its cafes Camille Desmoulins announced eloquently to present to the Crown, two nights before the storming of the Bastille. Many celebrities of the time including Balzac, Henry James, Zola and Flaubert used to frequent the palace. In 1938, Colette, the versatile writer of dubious reputation, was installed in an apartment overlooking the garden, where she spent great moments until her death. She was so attached to the palace that came to be called “the lady of the Royal Palace” and there is a plaque in her honor in the building. Currently, the campus is home to the Councils of State and Institutional and the National Library....Fado clubs in Lisbon
Little guide to listen fado in Lisbon If there´s something genuine and unique in Lisbon (that you can´t eat) that would be fado. Defined by some as the representation of the Portuguese soul, this type of song was named as an Intangible World Heritage by UNESCO in 2011. Be careful because fado will drag you into the deepest part of your melancholy, taking you to the most unsettling corner of your soul through the humble events of everyday life sung with superlative feelings. There is no question about it, if you go to Lisbon you have to go and see fados sung live, whether it´s as the main act or an accompanying one while you have dinner or a drink in a bar. Here is our selection of fado club in Lisbon. You have to take into account that the restaurants that have fado shows are more expensive, either because it´s an extra for the show or because at the end of the meal, which is usually when the show begins, you have to add the drinks. Fado in Chiado If your idea is not to have dinner but to attend a fado concert, Fado in Chiado organizes them daily (except Sundays) at the cinema-theatre Gymnásio, Espaço Chiado (R. Misericórdia, 14, 2º Andar, 1249-038 Lisbon) at 7pm. It lasts 55 minutes and the ticket is 15€. You can buy your ticket here: http://www.fadoinchiado.com/ Clube de fado (R. S. João da Praça, 94 – 1100-521 Lisbon) At Clube de Fado you´ll find fado enthusiasts, an authentic place where as well as serving excellent Portuguese cuisine they also sing what is perhaps the best fados in Lisbon....Expo Belvedere in Vienna
The centre of what used to be a refined empire on planet Earth, the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, with royal see in Vienna, gave us two palaces which are essential to visit for the traveller who is passing by this part of the world: the photogenic Upper Belevedere and the more mundane Lower Belvedere. Both are united by delicate French-style gardens and are currently art museums. In one they exhibit baroque paintings and in the other the whole paraphernalia that´s survived from the Middle Ages. But, both in one and the other, there are great works of art made from the time of the so called Viennese Secession Movement, born at the end of the 19th century as a rejection of the industrialization processes that, by then, were being implemented in the whole western world. And so, the famous painting ´The Kiss´ by Gustav Klimt is part of the permanent collection of the Belvedere (you have to go to the part signposted ´Austrian Art Gallery´), and it shares protagonism with the tormented figures of Egon Schiele or the pleasant landscapes of Monet, who despite not being Austrian mixes with them. Anyway, this palace, which picks up all the past times, exhibits ´Utopia´, an exhibition with a suggestive name that´s open until the 20th of May. Here´s the link of the exhibition where the traveller can buy the entry ticket online and not much more, such is the brevity of the information for the visitor from the institution: http://www.belvedere.at/en/ausstellungen/aktuelle-ausstellungen/utopia-gesamtkunstwerk-e10519 And what does ´Utopia´ show us at the Belvedere? Essentially, the vision on this philosophical concept that the artists of the historical avant-gardes gave...Hop On Hop Off Tourist Bus in Barcelona
