Villa Reale was the house of Napoleon Bonaparte and, for that, it´s important in universal history and in the one of the city of Milan especially.
It was built in 1790 by the architect Leopold Pollak and, today, it´s visited by thousands of tourists every day. They want to see where the great military governor Mr. Bonaparte ate, slept and lived.
Of neoclassic style, the interiors of the rooms stand out for their beauty and special attention. The decoration is maintained like it used to be and it´s full of chandeliers, oil and acrylic paintings, marble and stone sculptures, large mirrors and velvet, among other things.
But not only the great Napoleon Bonaparte lived there, but also King Humberto I and other famous people of the Italian monarchy. The son of this murdered king, Vittorio Emanuele III, didn´t want to live there anymore and since 1900 the place was used for cultural and political events.
