111 Gallery (Galeria 111) was inaugurated in 1964 by Manuel Brito in Lisbon. In its over fifty years of work with art and Portuguese contemporary artists, its exhibiting programmes are unmissable events in the world of art in this city. Due to the interest in its work, since 2000, the gallery has expanded to Oporto and it currently has three exhibiting spaces.
This gallery was born in the times that contemporary art acquired huge importance in Portugal due to the changes in artistic language paradigms, marked by the transformations of the time.
Despite the fact that its objective is based on the promotion of Portuguese art, its rooms have also received the works of well known international contemporary artists. It continuously promotes artists and they carry out publication releases and graphic works in collaboration with public institutions or private companies.
Located on Campo Grande 113 and on Dr. Joao Soares, you can visit it from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am until 7pm. It´s closed on Mondays and Sundays and holidays.
