The Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona, better known as the CCCB, is situated close to the district of El Raval it´s one of the museums adjacent to the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona (MACBA). The building is a combination of old and new styles because it was built in the 18th century but was renovated recently. Park Güell in Barcelona is one of the best and most famous examples of Art Nouveau in the world. Designed and created by Antoni Gaudí, Park Güell was designated part of the World Heritage by UNESCO. The park is situated on Olot Street and was ordered to the architect by Eusebi Güell, a very wealthy businessman that wanted to have a special garden. From then on, Gaudí built between 1900 and 1914, a work of art that he himself called ” the mountain without trees”. In 1922 the park became public and took the name of its old owner, Mr. Güell, a big friend of Gaudí. From this moment on, the park became popular and the work of the great architect was exposed to the whole world who, day after day, visit it to admire its strange, wavy shapes full of colour. The decoration of the structure was done in ceramic and old tiles that belonged to old jars or recycled pieces. What strikes the most are the curves and the beautiful, illuminated and colourful terraces that represent to perfection Art Nouveau in the 20th century.
