After the fall of the Berlin wall and the reunification of Germany, the modern German capital is beginning to be the international meeting point of everything which is cooking on the avant-garde artistic scene. One of these galleries is the recently inaugurated (in 2011) Dittric & Schlechtriem, located in the Mitte district in Berlin. The exhibitions come and go giving special priority to emerging artists, although consecrated artists are still welcome. On the walls of this Berlin art gallery there are usually suggestive pictures hanging up, ironic installations and critical performances which have sculpture as their centre, although with a different twist to what´s conceived as the ´classic way´.
Although many immediately compare art to a totally forbidden activity in the economical aspect, it´s not however always like this, and here we can find many surprises because the photographs or any other form are affordable to everyone. If you decide to buy something, you can always see its effect in your apartments in Berlin and so you can see how it looks like before you get home. if you don´t want to spend big, an art gallery is a perfect place to spend a nice time in. The entry is free and the staff very, very rarely approach you.
