Paris is full of attractions, and one of the characteristics which it possesses that not all big cities in the world have, is that it´s a place with plenty of green. There are many places in the city which can be enjoyed by just spending the day in open air, with friends or family.
One of those places is the André Citroën Park, which is located close to the river Seine, in the city´s 15th Arrondissement. The park was built, as its name indicates, by the Citroën company, to create a car manufacturing plant, and it was named as such because the founded of the company was called André Citroën.
The company built the factory in 1915 on the banks of the Seine, and it didn´t begin to work until 1970. At that moment it was 60 acres big. With time, they stopped using it as a factory and, in 1990, they began the creation of this park, which opened its doors in 1992.
The men in charge of carrying it out were the designers Gilles Clément, Alain Provost, Patrick Berger, Jean-François Jodry and Jean-Paul Viguier.
Those who want to get to know this beautiful place, just have to rent apartments in Paris and not only enjoy the André Citroën Park but also all of its museums, history, monuments and more.
