In the cold kingdom of metal music, there is a band that shines powerfully, it is perhaps one the most important bands of melodic death metal, if not the most, with one of the most powerful, guttural and monstrous voices, that made them famous in the world, specially coming from a woman, Yes a woman! Something unthinkable a few decades ago.
Arch Enemy was founded in the city of Halmstad in Sweden in 1996, the main founders of the band, the guitarist Michael Amott along the vocalist Johan Liiva, who was a member of the band until 2000. In that first stage, their musical productions showed a quite remarkable change, the first two albums were, much along with the lines of Death Metal, pure and hard, others a bit more melodic but equally aggressive. After this period, Angela Gossow joined the band with her incredible booming, demonic voice, I´m sure that it does not leave anyone indifferent, whether you like this kind of music or not. In this second stage the band started to work with an aggressive sound, supported by the German voice of this girl, but without neglecting the melody, accompanying feature to their latest albums. To date they have nine albums, the last released in 2011.
The band is now famous worldwide for their great sound and because they are one of the few bands with a female vocalist who sings in this way. On this occasion, the band will offer a concert in one of the most “metallic” countries in the world, which is without doubt, Finland. The concert is scheduled for the 31st of January 31 and will be held at The Circus. Two more bands will accompany arch Enemy: Profane Omen and Omnium Gatherum. The general ticket price is 27 Euros.
