Artefacto gallery is located a few metres away from the beautiful terrace of the area of Graça. It puts at the disposal of the public who visits it beautiful pieces of popular art, elaborated by emerging artists.
The gallery still preserves the style and the decoration of a ´mercearia´ or small shop of basic daily house products, with its wooden shelves, marble counter, checkered floor and old large scales.
On its shelves you´ll be able to find traditional items elaborated with details that give it the title of small works of art, from the finest craftsmen. Embroidery, sculptures, pipes, books and postcards.
The embroideries, for example, are elaborated by senhora Amélia, who after seventy years began her artistic career, as the creators of the concept tell, and has very carefully detailed works on sale with designs that you will love.
The are of Graça is very close to the Castle of Sao Jorge, the Cathedral of da Sé and various of our apartments in Lisbon which are available to rent.
