In Prague is very difficult to determine which is the best local beer. Before traveling to Prague, it is very important to memorize the magic words “už nepiju” (which mean “I´ve had enough”), because as soon as the waiters notice we have an empty glass, they immediately serve another one, since the local custom is to proceed this way until the client indicates otherwise.

Although chances are it will be long until we decide to pronounce these words, because the quality of Czech beer is so high that it is almost impossible to deprive ourselves of the pleasure of drinking them in the taverns of Prague.

The Czech Republic is home to some of the best lagers in the world, including the legendary Pilsner Urquell, which is very famous thanks to its special type of fermentation. In Prague you can find delicious bitter beers (such as Staropramen Branjík and Smíchnov), as well as sweet ones with higher ethyl levels, which are the result of a completely natural fermentation process.

Naming the best places to drink beer in Prague is a nearly impossible task. However, there is a very famous place called U Fleku (K?emencova 11) that will be always suggested; indeed this is one of the most famous restaurants-pivnice in Prague, due to its stout. This pivnice, which has been in operation for over half a millennium, is very popular among tourists, mainly Germans, who are attracted not only by its beers, but also by the beauty of its facilities.

Quite the opposite happens at Zlatého tygra pivnice, located at the number 17 of the Husova Street, where the heavy literary accent and hostility are used as a protection measure against the invasive effect of tourist in the area while making foreigners feel uncomfortable. Despite this, it is worth visiting it, as well as other unmissable places like the Bar Lucie (Dalimilova 5), known for its festive musical performances.

For some experts: you can find the best beer in Prague near the memorable secrecy of the Waldstein Gardens, at U Sv Tomáše (Letenská,12), which has been producing beer since 1358 the friars of St. Thomas.

With crooners live performances, bassoon concerts and a balsamic open-air garden during the summer, this is a place to visit for the beer lovers who rent apartments in Prague.
