A few kilometers from Barcelonaone can visit the beautiful town of Sitges with its nude beaches. Els Balmins is one such beach and it’s located in the urban area of the coast. If you prefer to enjoy nudity in more private locations, Sitges offers two alternatives: Cala Morisca and the Playa de Roses – La Desenrocada. These are, however, more difficult to access and don’t offer any services.
You can also stroll through the city, eat at restaurants along the beach or watch the sunset with a cocktail by candlelight while enjoying good music in the Bar Villa Lola. Or if you want to eat delicious food in a place with ambiance, the restaurant Pic Nic is a good choice. Both are located in Passeig de la Rivera.
If you enjoy activities that are more restful and spiritual, you should definitely get to know the history of the Virgin of Montserrat, the patron saint ofCatalonia. The monastery and the church, which both have sober architecture, are nestled on top ofMontserrat, where you can admire the beauty of nature. The small fortress built of stone blends with the natural landscape. From the lookout you can even see thePyreneesand enjoy the many shades of colors that exist in the valley.
The summit can be reached on foot, by car, by train fromBarcelona, and then by cog railway or cable car up the mountain. The tour lasts two hours and there is a good cafeteria and restaurant at reasonable prices at the top. You could also take food along to enjoy outdoors. You can take pictures, visit the small market offering natural products, and simply enjoy the views.
Another place that makes a great destination for a walk while in Barcelonais the Lloret de Mar. There you’ll find everything you need to spend one or more days—water parks, amusement parks, and water sports such as snorkeling and diving. And beautiful nature can be seen when you go hiking, walking or take a bike tour. Lloret de Mar is a beautiful coastal city that has been adapted for sustainable tourism, which means that tourists won’t interrupt the placid life of its inhabitants.
