Dehesa de la Villa in Madrid

Dehesa de la Villa is a park which is located in Madrid, in the district of Ciudad Universitaria, and if you like green spaces, this will undoubtedly be an ideal place for you because it maintains its appearance as a forest.

The park was donated by the king Alfonso VII of Castille in 1152 to the City of Madrid, and its land, through time, was used for pastures and, for that reason, it lost part of its original holm oaks. Through the years they attempted to keep it well and, during the time of the queen Isabel II, they began to plant pine trees which are today the most common and beautiful trees in the park. There are also oaks, almond trees, ash trees, poplars, elms and acacias, among others.

Those who enjoy spacious places with plenty of green and natural tranquillity, will be able to find an ideal place here, with plenty of history and full of spectacular flora and wildlife.

If you want to get to know Dehesa de la Villa, you just have to rent apartments in Madrid and, also, get to know one of the most beautiful cities with museums, monuments, attractions and one of the best nightlifes in the world.
