If you love music and the live execution of the virtuous sounds, you can´t miss this interesting event that the city of Seville has been organising for just two years. It´s the International Guitar Competition Festival, an event created by the famous guitarist Francisco Bernier who, with his clear vision of the importance of the guitar in musical composition, thought out a project which supported and promoted the diffusion of the work of the Spanish composers around the world.
The competition is made up of three phases: a knockout phase (in which the musicians will execute a free choice repertoire which will last between 10 and 12 minutes), a semifinal and a final (to which only four musicians will arrive and who will have to play 35 minutes of any work chosen by them).
The event also proposes a series of guitar courses which are taught by famous international musicians (Oscar Ghiglia, Elena Papandreou, Esther Guzmán and Marcyn Dyla) and conferences and discussion tables which will open the discussion on one of the most traditional instruments in Spain. So we recommend that you leave your apartments in Seville to dedicate a few hours to Spanish and international musical creation.
