From the Côte d´Azur, from the beautiful town of Antibes, we get the music of this band that was born over ten years ago and that have six albums in their history. As part of the world tour of their latest album, ´Hurry up, We´re Dreaming´, they land in New York, at Terminal 5 NYC, on the 10th of May.
M83 at Terminal 5 NYC
Anthony Gonzalez (French of Spanish heritage) and Nicolas Fromegeau have known how to position their electronic music thanks to the repeated broadcastings on BBC Radio and the evocative power of their songs, which have been the headlining song for many TV series and films. If the reader wants to find out which ones, he just has to see the promotional video of their latest single, ´Midnight City´. Here the music goes brilliantly with the staging of the official video where some children with paranormal powers search for freedom. It´s no surprise that they´ve hit the 10 million mark on YouTube with this song.
Terminal 5 NYC, on 610 West 56th Street, between 11th and 12th Avenue, is the youngest concert venue of New York City. However, its programme is incredible. It´s located close to the Western entry to Central Park although, as you know, we´re in New York and three avenues one way or another is quite a walk. It has events on every day and they also organize private activities on demand.
The M83 concert has already sold all the early bird tickets so you will just have to buy the ticket on the day of the concert. It will be at 8pm and the doors will open an hour before. Here´s the link of the event: http://www.terminal5nyc.com/event/77327
New York, that city
One can go to the Big Apple to do anything because even its crowd of people from all over the world can be of great interest. New York is that city and, therefore, we can find good and bad there, mostly good of course, that the human kind has created.
The concerts programmed in New York are starting to overshadow the events on Broadway, which is quite something, and these are doing the same with the impressive exhibitions that take place every day in museums and private art galleries. If this wasn´t enough, the stores (and we´re not just talking 5th Avenue here) come across non-stop. Personally, I especially like Soho, for its bohemian nature and the past glamour that´s still in the air. However, there´s a different New York for each of us.
The Big Apple is a fascinating and rich city in any artistic expression. If you´re travelling there for the M83 concert or for any other concert at Terminal 5 NYC, you can stay in one of the apartments in New york available for short stays. If you share them with friends, the price will be unbelievably cheap.
