If you love planes and everything related to aeronautics, you must visit the Musée de l´Air et de l´Espace which is in the city of Paris inside Le Bourget airport, some four miles from the city centre.
This museum has the characteristic of being one of the oldest in the world, since it was created in 1921 by Chalais-Meudon and, some time after, in 1973, in the creation project of Charles de Gaulle airport, it was given the role which it has today.
At the place you can enjoy a collection of 20,000 objects and documents related to the history of flying, aeronavigation and space navigation since the 15st century until today.
The aim behind the creation of this museum is creating a place to preserve and diffuse the aspects related both to civil and military aeronautics.
The collections present two defined areas: the first one is the old terminal which has over 120,000 sq metres and the other has 130,000, which is where the old base of the Air Force on the other side of the airport.
