FC Barcelona is one of the most important football teams in the world, founded by Joan Gamper in 1899 and since then thousands of fans from all over the world enjoy one of the best teams that the sport in question possesses with stars in its side such as Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta or David Villa.
The history of this club is, without doubt, one of the most interesting and rich in content that the world of sport has and, for that reason, the directors decided to open a museum with information which goes from its foundation up to toay.
The idea of Gamper about the creation of a museum came up in 1920 but it was recently in 1982 when the Museum of FC Barcelona opened its doors, becoming the first football club in the planet to exhibit its past. But the club is not only a football club but also, through time, it´s been adding sports at the club and the museum also shows the history of the different teams of hockey, basketball and handball.
The museum divides itself in different sections in which you can see the history of Barça throughout different photographs, audiovisual material, collections from different players who played for the club and all of its trophies.
