Since traveling is not always a matter of visiting the world’s capitals, at Only Apartments we have a variety of destinations scattered around the world, including alternative destinations that provide a vacation different from what you would experience in a city capital. We now have five new destinations to enjoy all across Europe, from Italy to Finland and from Spain to Turkey as well as in the small central European country of Luxembourg. If you are looking to enjoy an alternative holiday, keep reading.
Luxembourg
Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in the world. Located between Belgium, France and Germany, its beauty can nonetheless hold its own among its neighbors. The capital city of Luxembourg is located on top of a hill that looks down on the valleys of the Alzette and Pétrusse rivers. Many parts of the city have been declared World Heritage sites, including cathedrals, fortifications and ducal palaces. Luxembourg is also surrounded by small villages that are both charming and beautiful. We recommend following the Wine Route in the Moselle Valley or visiting the romantic villages of Remich, Vianden and Echternach. If you enjoy beauty, Luxembourg has it all.

Cremona
Located in the heart of Lombardy between the cities of Milan and Bologna, Cremona is especially well-known for its string instruments. It was here that Antonio Stradivari, who created the famous Stradivarius violins, lived and died. Cremona is also one of the best places to enjoy some of the most impressive Gothic- Roman art in Europe. Among its most important monuments are its Cathedral and Baptistery, which are works of art both inside and out. As for the food, you’ll want to be sure to try the mostarda and torrone, two key elements of Lombard cuisine. If you like Italy and Italian culture, you will be fascinated by Cremona.
Korpilampi
If you are interested in natural beauty, Korpilampi in Finland is the perfect destination. This lake, which is located just minutes north of Helsinki, is perfect for those wanting to enjoy a holiday in the heart of nature. In summer, Korpilampi is an ideal spot to escape from the heat and enjoy the greenery of the forest. In winter, the snowy forest creates a picturesque landscape like few others. It also has the added bonus that is only 20 minutes from Helsinki, which means you can enjoy the Finnish capital and then return to your refuge in the woods. If this hasn’t already convinced you, some images of Korpilampi should do the trick.
Cirali
Located in the province of Antalya in Turkey, Cirali is a small rural town with more than three kilometers of idyllic beaches bathed by the Mediterranean that is near the Greek ruins of Olympos and where you can see a unique phenomenon: Yanartaş or Chimera is the volcanic phenomenon of stones that sport flames of fire. It can be visited in the mountains of Yanar, and if you climb the mountain at night, the flames put on a show like no other. The beaches are also home to many Caretta Caretta turtles, which lay their eggs on the beach and whose offspring hatch and return to the sea. It’s Mother Nature at its best. Cirali is an ideal destination to enjoy the pleasures of relaxation on beautiful beaches as well as the uniqueness of the southern Mediterranean.
Benicássim
The name of this city in the province of Castellón is linked to FIB Festival, the largest alternative music festival in Europe which is held in July. If you plan to go to the festival but do not like the idea of camping, our new apartments in Benicassim offer you an ideal choice. And you can enjoy the beaches of the Costa Azahar and the local traditions and culture (especially the paella!) while you’re there. Whether or not you attend the festival, you can simply enjoy the sun and the beach in one of the liveliest towns in Spain. But I highly recommend the FIB for a weekend full of great music and lots of fun. Afterwards, you can sleep as long as you want in your comfortable bed.
