The Andalusian Centre of Contemporary Art develops an interesting project destined to highlight the role of music in cultural and social transformations, whose name is La Canción como Fuerza Social Transformador (The Song as a Social Transformation Force). In this frame a series of cultural and artistic activities take place that have a relation with the role of music and in August it presents the 7th edition of Nocturama.

The Andalusian Centre has conceived Nocturama as a ludic way of getting the public closer to art, through nocturnal concerts and contemporary art exhibitions that are part of this new summer programme. In this edition they have organised ten concerts that begin on August 3rd and end on September 1st.

The national bands with international projection that will participate in the programme, transit through all contemporary musical genres, following the idea of the project that investigates the role of the song as a social transforming force. Before each concert, they´ll present music videos made by the Canada production company.

The first invite is the Spanish singer/songwriter Alondra Bentley. Her entry to the stage was in 2006. Her first album, Ashfield Avenue, confirmed her as one of the most sought after female voices in Spain. She´s currently working on the production of her second album and in music for film. Her presentation will be on August 3rd.

August 4th will see Triangulo de Amor Bizarro come on stage, who broke into 2010 with their appearance in the press because of their first music video with Luís Cerveró and their successful tour in Central America. Among their hits there´s the digital single Amigos del Género Humano, accompanied by the version of Julieta Venegas and Betiatto.

On the 10th of August it will be Klaus & Kinski the ones in charge of steering the public down the paths of electronic music. This band that started being a duo, Alejandro Martínez Moya and Marina Gómez Carruthers, have been acclaimed by the electronic music lovers since 2005, when the voice of Marina and the samples by Alejandro uniting in one successful product.

They´re followed on the 19th of August by the rock and post-rock band Nodozurdo, born in Madrid in 2001, and whose takeoff occurred in 2002 when they recorded their first album. Their latest hit Tara Motor Hembra, made up of 10 songs, was mixed in Sterling Sound, New York by Grez Caibi and edited in vinyl and CD.

It´s a long list. They´re followed by Cristina Rosenvinge on August 17th; the band Fiera on August 18th; Julio de la Rosa will definitely be on stage on August 25th; the sound fusion of Coque Malla will be unmissable on the 31st of August and, to give it a grand finale, there´ll be the special concert of Maga.

All in all a panorama that completes itself with the exhibition of 19 music videos, among which there are anthological pieces such as: El Guincho with Bombay Hindou, Mishima with Tot Torna a Començar and Un Tros de Fang, among many other works of such quality.
