The O Pescador Restaurant opened its doors nearly fifty years ago, a time when it was used as an old fisherman´s tavern. Today it´s one of the most popular restaurants in the Cascais area.
The decoration of the restaurant is of good taste, filled with traditional details, miniature ships, fishing utensils, cured hams and photographs of famous people who are regular clients or that visited the restaurant at some point.
The speciality of the house is fish, of course. The delicious and traditional sardines of the house is the most sought after dish, that´s only served at lunchtime. But at dinner time, don´t worry, that you can still choose from the ´caldeirada´ of lobster, mixed grill of seafood and fish, paella or salted lobster.
The cellar of O Pescador is a well-kept treasure by the founder of the house, Mr. Ramiro Pinto. It has over 400 bottles of the best wines that are produced in Portugal, and with examples from up to 1964. The wine list is a show of the last 50 year of Portugues wine.
If you´re staying in any of our apartments in Lisbon the walk to the Bay of Cascais, the place where the restaurant is, is a perfect stroll for a beach day, only 20 km away from the capital.
