The German Parliament has its headquarters in the city of Berlin, in the Reichstag building. There many governments and empires have passed and since 1994, every five years the German Federal Convention meet there to choose the new President of the Republic.
With a neo-Renaissance style, its façade is one of the most visited in the city of Berlin. But what attracts the most attention of the beautiful building is its great dome that can be visited inside. The architect was Paul Wallot and it finished building in 1894. Subsequently, Sir Norman Foster helped in the restoration of the building and was who introduced the famous glass dome to the building and left it how it looks today.
Three thousand sq metres of glass cover the enormous dome, that became a tourist attraction of the German capital. The tourists can go into the building and go up to the dome that is situated 40 metres high.
