The Al Cântaro Restaurant is located in the high part of the Alcântara area, just in between the Praça da Armada and the Palácio das Necessidades.
The decoration is sober and elegant but relaxed, with photographs of illustrious and famous Portuguese people filling the walls. The furniture is made of dark wood and it has dim lighting.
The cuisine that characterizes Al Cântaro is Mediterranean food, with dishes like the lamb with dates and aubergines, hog skewers, duck with honey, fish soup and house-style octopus.
On Fridays and Saturdays it also works as a bar, and instead of closing at 10pm as usual, it stays open until 2am.
When you visit our apartments in Lisbon if you´d like to try new liqueurs and especially the local varieties, Al Cântaro is one of the best places to do so because the national drinks are the queens of the bar and here you can try drinks like fig liqueur, ´medronho´ and mint and zimbro liqueurs, and other surprises.
