Chapitô is located in a very beautiful and calm area of Lisbon and it´s situated in a place without too many signs that there is a restaurant inside. It´s behind a fabulous construction that was built in the 17th century and, at the time, it was a prison but now it´s a circus school.
When you get to Chapitô you´ll have to find the place carefully but if you know you´re going to a restaurant you´ll find where it is by a little image on the door.
As the visitors go into the place they realize the incredible view of the Alfama and the river that it has. The place takes advantage as well of the open and closed spaces, so that everyone can enjoy a hot afternoon in summer or a cold evening in winter.
The speciality of the place, which is especially busy with young students although you also get older clients, are the tapas and the music that they play, which include hip hop, chillout and Indian music.
One of the best things that Chapitô has is that the service is extremely quick.
The decoration of the place is very rustic and pleasant with the music on a volume that it´s enough to enjoy it but also low enough to be able to speak with the people that you go with.
