Madrid has many events that stand out on the art scene. One of the most important ones, that is 16 years of age in 2012, is Teatralia, which is an event that has performing arts as the main protagonist.
Teatralia is aimed for young children and teenagers and it´s organized by the regional government of Madrid that, with time, managed to turn it into one of the most consolidated international events related to theatre, with shadow puppet shows, dance, music, circus and even workshops and external exhibitions.
Teatralia takes place in March and it presents both Spanish theatre companies as ones from Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Portugal, Holland and France.
With it being such a big event, it has to divide its shows in different spaces. These spaces will be: Teatros del Canal, Teatros de la Abadía, Sala Cuarta Pared, La Casa Encendida, Círculo de Bellas Artes and others such as Centro Cultural Pilar Miró and Centro Cultural Paco Rabal.
