In the Vatican Museums you can observe a large quantity of sculptures, paintings and other objects that were picked up throughout the centuries by every Catholic Pope.
These are made up by artistic monuments like the Sistine Chapel, the Rooms and the Chapel of Beato Angelico among many others. Also, the picture gallery occupies a whole building that was built in 1932 and which was a work by the renown architect Beltrami.
Inside you can enjoy archeological objects that are hundreds of years old and that are unique in the world. One of these examples that can be observed, which is located in the Lateran Palace, are the different trophies of the Pontifical Military Body.
Something to take into account is that these museums open, excepting special occasions, only in the morning until the early hours of the afternoon on weekdays and for that reason they´ll always be full of tourists that go to see them and, on the last Sunday of each month, the visit is free.
The amount of works that can be enjoyed in these buildings are undoubtedly unique and incomparable.
You can enjoy some of the best artists of the history of art and not walking through its galleries would be a real sin. You can rent apartments in Rome and not let this chance escape.
