Both the artists and the works that are exhibited are very important for the development of the arts and the cultural heritage of Venice and Italy, since it adds new artists to the art scene who bring a new vision of the more contemporary art.
The winning artist, Teresa Cos, studied architecture, but during her studies she took an interest in photography, sociology and art. These three areas of knowledge and creation were integrated to her work after graduating, opting for art. Due to the quality of her architecture, she was called by the French Government to integrate a team of Italian professionals in order to generate future ideas with the aim to implement them in the development of Paris. It was then when she began to work with photography with a documentary focus on photojournalism.
The other winning artist and whose work will be on the cover of the catalogue, Caterina Gabelli, works in graphic arts, successfully participating in various collective exhibitions. Her work includes ´naif´ minimalistic animations with pencil drawings and interesting works in colour.
