The Cementerio Monumental (Monumento Cemetery) of Milan is a tourist point of the city because there lie many celebrities of Italian art and also for its marvellous architecture.   It was built recently in the 19th by the architect Carlo Maciacchini who wanted to not only build a cemetery but also give it his personal style and create a place that was aesthetically harmonic and nice to visit.   Walking through the small streets of the cemetery isn´t an unpleasant experience, more like the opposite because one can find himself in a famous place where art, nature and history come together as one single feeling.   Inside the cemetery there are special places that you can´t miss. For example, El Ossario (The Ossary) which is located in the centre of the precinct. Thi construction has a terrace from where one can see part of the cemetery but, the thing that strikes the most, are its walls that present tombstones of illustrious citizens that are buried in other cemeteries. Sforzesco Castle

Sforzesco Castle is famous in the whole of Italy but, above all, in Milan where it´s currently located. It was built in a record time of ten years between 1358 and 1368 and, today, it represents a symbol of the city. It suffered various attacks from its finalization, but it was always remodelled and rebuilt for its preservation. One of the people in charge of its reconstruction, in the 15th century, was Francesco Sforza and it gets its name from there. The major tower of the building is called Filarete and it´s situated just above the main entrance, giving it importance and relevance. Further back there´s the tower of Bona di Savoia and, on the other side, there´s the area known as the Rocchetta and it´s a fortified part inside the castle, where they could take refuge in war times. The interesting thing about this construction inside the castle is that it holds a very important painting, “Argus” from the most famous and recognized architect from the Renaissance, signore Donato di Angelo di Pascuccio (or Bramante, as he was known at that time). And there´s also another important piece inside the Sforzesco Castle, but there isn´t any confirmation. It´s believed that the work painted in fresco in one of the rooms, the Sala delle Asse, was painted by Leonardo da Vinci. Villa Reale

Villa Reale was the house of Napoleon Bonaparte and, for that, it´s important in universal history and in the one of the city of Milan especially. It was built in 1790 by the architect Leopold Pollak and, today, it´s visited by thousands of tourists every day. They want to see where the great military governor Mr. Bonaparte ate, slept and lived. Of neoclassic style, the interiors of the rooms stand out for their beauty and special attention. The decoration is maintained like it used to be and it´s full of chandeliers, oil and acrylic paintings, marble and stone sculptures, large mirrors and velvet, among other things. But not only the great Napoleon Bonaparte lived there, but also King Humberto I and other famous people of the Italian monarchy.
