Versace is a brand that was born in Italy but that it´s known around the world today, and has a very goo reputation; there isn´t a famous person that doesn´t want to wear one of the unique clothes of this brand. The creator of the Versace empire was Gianni Versace, who started to design and produce clothes at 25 years of age in the city of Milan, the world´s fashion capital. But, suddently, Gianni was murdered by a serial killer and his family took over the company that was already a success at that time, in 1997, when the designer died. Like that, his family´s life changed forever. For example, the niece of Gianni inherited 500 million dollars, his sister Donatella is now in charge of the design department and his brother Santo Versace is now the manager of the big company. Milan is a wonderful city that aside from having museums with tremendous history and some of the world´s most important works and monuments, it also has some of Italy´s most relevant restaurants. One of these places is called Savini, that opened its doors over a century ago. Giuseppe Verdi, Ernest Hemingway and Charles Chaplin were only some of the important people that passed through its dining room to enjoy the best traditional Italian food. And the term traditional isn´t only based on the dishes but in everything in general. The place has a decoration that seems to transport the visitor to a dream place that disappeared years ago. Large chandeliers, a lot of luxury and shine and exquisite meals are the distinction of Savini. The chef, Alessandro Chiesa, is in charge of the kitchen and preparing dishes that everyone already knows but that rediscover themselves every time you try them because they´re truly unique. If you like to eat in the most important places in the different cities that you visit, in Milan you can´t not go to the Trattoria Milanese, which is a restaurant that opened in 1933 and that finds itself located in not only one of the mist historical and old places in the city, but also in one of the most beautiful, to the west of the Duomo. It´s a spacious place with a dining room with long tables where the people will share them with other people that they will not know. The people in charge of the place are Giuseppe and Antonella Villa. He´s in the kitchen preparing some of the best traditional meals in the place, like the risotto alla Milanese with saffron or the best meat. Another of the best dishes is the one called Costolette alla Milanese, which is a beef steak with bread fried in butter which is a real treat. Antonella is in charge of serving the customers in the best way possible and being in charge that all that they order doesn´t take a lot of time to be served, that the wines are in good conditions and that nobody is unhappy. If you´re in Milan and you like the events of listening to music, there aren´t many places that are really well acclimatized and that have the level of clubs like there are in other places, but there´s one that stands out and that´s Magazzini Generali. This nightclub, which has a capacity for approximately one thousand people, is located in what used to be a big warehouse that was repaired and now it has a very futuristic decoration. The organization of Magazzini Generali is in charge of bringing the most important indie artists of the moment every week and, as well, the most important DJs in the world like Richie Hawtin, Armin Van Buuren or Paul Van Dyk. Magazzini Generali opens every day of the week and they present different types of parties. Il Gattopardo Café is housed in the Sempione area of Milan, close to the Parco Sempione is a tourist place that you can access really easily with public transport (trams) or in a taxi. The place, despite not looking like anything special from the outside, is one of the busiest in the city and, for that reason, if the visitors manage to get on a list (you can do this through Facebook, Twitter or someone you know inside) it will be even better because it´s very exclusive and going in will be a little bit complicated. The atmosphere in this place is truly great because it used to be a church and it has two floors. The tables are located in the central part, which will allow you to sit down without too many problems and relax having one of the excellent cocktails. With the place being so exclusive, it´s a bit expensive, but it´s worth going to even though it´s at least once because it´s one of the most beautiful places to go at night in the city. But what makes Il Gattopardo Café special is that around 10pm the place becomes a club and, from one moment to another, you´ll be enjoying a band that turns the place into a big party.
