Nothing better than going out and listen to some music. The weather is good, and nobody wants to be caught somewhere without much to think or say, the streets of Barcelona are always ready to lots of action and fun. Almost every block from downtown Barcelona has at least one bar available, so with that spirit you have multiple options. If you do not like. Being cought in bars and prefer to walk around, you can buy a beer and walk the streets in the city, of course taking care of where to go. Nowadays the police in Barcelona is more annoying than ever. The world´s youth culture continues to drecrease. Yes, campings are a symptom that there is an urgent need of change, we want change, that´s enough of financial abuse, It is also enough of just “cool music” “picnic going”. It is like in Barcelona someone had taken over the folk to precisely reduce the power the city once had to question and criticize the system, tell stories, to influence.This is not about playing the role of a ” cool cowboy “, it is about influencing and moving people. Perhaps the audience is given the artists it deserves, the problem is from both sides. And not just in reducing everything to Punk or politicking, but let´s face it, Barcelona have thousands of tourists who visit but it is NOT a cosmopolitan city. Not yet. These processes will be happening if, finally, the city itself is opened, leaving behind some complex from past victories.
BAM however, is a very interesting festival that seeks to bring together people from all places to create an environment in which music is shared, living on the streets, and enjoy. However, it is still quite “indie”, style that several years ago, Elefant Records crowned in Spain. We will not go into details, just have a look at the BAM programe. Could it be that there are people who still think that this is 1987 or have something close at least a shred of Daniel Johnston? It seems that the picnic in Girona is not over. Battered music scene?
