It opened its doors in 2003 and since then the centre brought the whole community of the south of Spain together to get the chance of getting to know more about art, art currents and its different expressions, both plastic and audiovisual.
This Contemporary Art Center is visited a lot by the population of Málaga but also and, above all, by the tourists that go there to discover the latest novelties in Spain. Already famous worldwide, this museum constitues a symbol of the city, which everyone feels represented by.
Because the centre wants to have more international vocation and, above all, an important role in Europe, it wagers for international artists as well as those from Málaga. Some of the artists which exhibiti in the CAC are: the Chapman brothers, Paul McCarthy, Jason Rhoades and Ron Mueck.
