The International Music Documentary Film Festival in Barcelona, or Beefeater Ine-dit, as it´s also known, is finishing its preparations for the 2011 edition. From the 27th of October until the 6th of November, forty-five titles will compete for one of the prizes which are given in this ninth edition of one of the indiest, avant-garde and innovative film festivals in the Western world. Far from the paraphernalia of other similar festivals, Ine-dit offers a series of circuits that you can´t miss: the Beefeater In-Edit Online (since we´re in the internet and social network age), the Music Documentary Market and the Night Marathon at London´s Backstage.
Even though you can follow the news via Twitter, there´s an advance of the programme of 2011. We highlight ´Blaze Foley: Duct Tape Messiah´ by the American director Kevin Triplet and the French-Italian-German co-production ´Michel Petrucciani´, directed by Michael Radford. You also can´t miss the work by the Brazilian director Georgia Guerra-Peixa called ´O samba que mora em mim´ (The samba which lives inside me). To summarise, plenty of good documentaries and a lot of good music for ten long days.
Remember that the tickets can be bought early-bird online and that you have to book some of the apartments in Barcelona since you have to rest your body, hearing and soul.
