Luxury for the sake of luxury. This is a post for those who are willing to dig deep into their pockets. We are going to go to the most remote beaches of Tanzania and Seychelles, a 7-star hotel in Dubai, and for dinner at the best restaurant in the world (in Denmark).
On Safari in Tanzania: Traveling to Africa is expensive, but it’s a destination that is hard to resist. Talking about Tanzania means talking about Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. But if what you are seeking is a luxury beach to rest without being disturbed, I recommend you go directly to Zanzibar. Zanzibar is referred to as the African Caribbean, and it’s an ideal hiding place for couples. For example, at the Kendwa beach, with its white sand and turquoise water. It’s also a top diving spot. If you need some help, the diving school there is named Spanish Dancer (their owners are Spanish). You only need to go under the water to enjoy the views. You will feel right at home.
The Seychelles: A real tropical paradise. This archipelago, which consists of more than a hundred islands in the Indian Ocean, is a Mecca of luxury and a favorite destination of actors, singers and soccer stars. Seychelles is so glamorous, it was chosen as a honeymoon destination by George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin. If you are going to travel to Seychelles I recommend two 5-star hotels in Mahé. The first is the Ephelia Resort, of the Constance chain, where you’ll discover one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, directly opposite the Launa Marine Park. The other is the Kempinski Hotel, also in Mahé, which is exceptionally situated to enjoy the surrounding nature. Neither is cheap, but if you are interested in spending a day there, the best and most affordable way is to buy a package with food and activities.
Burj Al Arab, Dubai: This is the only 7-star hotel in the world. You will find it in one of the artificial islands of the city, in the Persian Gulf by its recognizable sail shape, which has already made it a symbol and important part of the skyline in Dubai. You can also reach it by helicopter, since there’s a helipad on top. Staying there costs between 2,500 and 40,000 euros a night. The hotel’s few and fortunate guests also have the opportunity to rent a Rolls Royce right there in the hotel. And only if you are able to see it from the sea, which is to view it from the rear, will you be able to see the cross. According to its creator, it’s the largest cross ever erected in the Muslim world. Inside, you won’t want to miss the restaurant with its built-in aquarium and gold leaf. The hotel is spread out over some 2,000 square meters.
Dinner at the best restaurant in the world: Of course, we’re talking about the restaurant Noma in Copenhagen, which just dethroned the Spanish title-holder, Celler de Can Roca. It is an old salt warehouse by the canal, which has been repurposed by the Danes. If you feel the urge, their set menu will set you back about 200 euros.
