Casanostra Restaurant opened its doors in 1986 by inspiration of an Italian migrant who missed the true flavours of her country´s food, and it was one of the first in the city to offer authentic Italian food.
In the kitchen of Casanostra they use specially selected ingredients which are imported directly from Italy, to guarantee that its dishes are truly genuine.
The place isn´t very big, and the decoration is simple, with a small bar at the entrance and a room divided in two atmospheres with different styles.
The desserts are always fresh and delicious, the starters vary from salads, carpaccios and cheeses and, also, you can order half a jug of the house wine.
The favourite dishes of their most loyal customers are fresh pasta with truffles, the “Tornedò al Porcini” and the Tiramissù. They can also serve a simple pasta dish, like on the children´s menu.

The closest metro stop to Casanostra is Baixa Chiado. They open every day except Saturdays and Holidays at lunch time. They take bookings.
