Submitted to a complete renovation that will end in Spring 2012, Madurodam is more than a theme park: it´s an interactive miniature city.
With over sixty years experience, this peculiar initiative shows, in perfect and artistic miniatures, the different corners of Holland with its buildings, monuments, churches, canals, windmills and all the urban paraphernalia that we can imagine.
Although it´s thought out for enjoyment and for cultural and civic formation for the younger ones, a visit to Madurodam, in Amsterdam, is a must for all those travelling families that aren´t easily intimidated. We have added all the information details, as always, on the right hand column, but this playful place is so famous that the concierge at your apartments in Amsterdam will be able to tell you where it is.
Following with the prevailing cosmovision from the early 1950s, Madurodam isn´t just a place for leisure but also it contributes with different charity organizations who work in education and social insertion of less fortunate families. By involving itself with society, this old theme park has become a referent to follow for younger generations.
