When we visit Barcelona, normally, we do it by foot, from the streets, seeing all the monuments, buildings and parks from the ground floor. Even so, the wonderful city of Barcelona offers us another way of seeing the city.
The Montjuïc Cable Car goes from the Park of Montjuïc to the Montjuïc Castle, stopping at a viewpoint. From the cable car we can see the whole city of Barcelona from a bird´s eye view, a view that we shall never forget because few times are we presented with the opportunity of seeing a city from the air. You can get the cable car from the Paral·lel Metro stop by going up the Funicular de Montjuïc, which will drop us off at the Park so we can go in the cable car.
From here, we can see all the emblematic monuments of the Catalan capital at once, such as the Sagrada Familia, the impressive and modern Agbar Tower, the mountains of Collserola and the whole port, giving us a unique view, perfect to take some spectacular photographs. After, the cable car drops us off at Montjuïc Castle, a perfect place to visit the mountain and all of the attractions that it offers, such as the Olympic Stadium, the Catalan National Art Museum (MNAC) and the incredible viewpoints. Tickets for the cable car cost 9.60€ for a return ticket and 7€ for children.
