Tierra Santa in Barcelona
The Heavy Metal, seen and listened very closely, is full of so many excesses and wild paraphernalia as glam, satánica or a guerrera. Making a list of how this band started as a way of Metal sources, of most controversial issues related to the devil, satanism and human sacrifice, they probably start in “Sympathy for the Devil” by the Rolling Stones despite not being a Heavy Metal song itself. But of course, there are many other rhythms included as the long list of blues songs that make allusions to the devil, religion, and the struggle for survival of the soul are present. Black Sabbath started with the paraphernalia of the occult on a larger scale in metal. The Germans of the Necronomicon band, continued this, influenced by Lovecraft. Thus, Metal gradually became a style where the stories of epic journeys into darkness, wars with heavenly or hellish creatures, conquests unexplored cosmic travel and other worlds would be represented. Iron Maiden and Judas Priest would use these paraphernalia narratives. Later, New Yorkers Manowar brought heavy riffs that would lead to the highest points of Valhalla. Progressive metal bands explored further in these areas or lyric possibilities. In the case of Norwegian Black Metal, Norse myths mixed with rock in a spirit returning to ancient pagan traditions of this people and the rejection the Christian order. Tierra Santa is a band from La Rioja, which started its path through the metal in the 90´s. They returned to the stage since 2010, with them all the above mentioned at the epic, legendary or mythical style, you name it. If you´re a fan...Jaski Amsterdam

Nightwish in Helsinki
What´s undoubtedly the most successful band in Finland, with millions of albums sold around the world, is back in its country with a long concert. I´m talking about Nightwish, the symphonic metal band that has been creating hits since 1996 with a musical formula that reaches a broad crowd. One could say that Nightwish has two eras: the first of them with Tarja Turunen, the famous soprano that is now performing her solo career and the second one with Annette Olzon. Both singers are valued and loved by the band´s fans, although one has to acknowledge that the change created a division. The band was formed by Tuomas Holopainen together with a group of musician friends, among which there was young Tarja. Soon they began working on a demo and signed a contract with their first record label, with whom they released two albums, ´Angells fall first´ and ´Oceanborn´ from 1997 and 1998 respectively, with which they quickly climbed up the Finnish charts. After these two albums there was a year of silence where the band dedicated themselves to finish their studies, but came back in 2000 with the album ´Wishmaster´ and, with that, world fame. Today, with seven albums, the latest released not long ago with which they have an important film project born out of the imagination of Holopainen, they arrive to play in their home country promoting the new album titled ´Imaginaerum´. The concert will take place at the Ice Hall in Helsinki on the 10th of March, with ticket prices going at 49€. A special evening for a band who has just released a new...Barcelona Zoo

‘Il coraggio di Adele’ in Rome
From the 6th until the 18th of March, you can enjoy the theatre play ´Il coraggio di Adele´ at the Piccolo Teatro Eliseo in Rome, a young production written and directed by Giampiero Rappa, starring the beautiful Terese Saponangelo. ´Il coraggio di Adele´ is a thrilling love story set in war time, between a woman and a man that had never seen each other before. At first, the casual couple are forced to live together for a brief period of time in a hut. There, they await the end of the Allied bombings that are trying to save the country. Lucas is injured and ill and Adele decides to help him and take care of him until he gets better, risking her life every day to do so. Adele is a young aristocrat who is looking for her place in the world, feeling let down by love since her boyfriend decided to voluntarily go to war. Lucas comes from a humble family and is chasing his dream of becoming a prestigious photographer together with his colleagues, a certain Linda of whom he talks about sporadically. Between both of them differences and arguments arise due to their different social and ideological position but, at the same time, an inevitable physical attraction appears. One night, while peace reigned inside the precarious hut, Adele and Lucas make love. The next morning, the young man feels fit again from his injuries and is ready to go, despite that Adele tries to stop him in vain. A year after the war has finished, and thanks to fate, both meet again on the terrace of...Poble Espanyol Barcelona
