Young artists in Venice
Until the 22nd of January, the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice exhibits ´95ma Collettiva Giovani Artisti´ at the Galleria Piazza San Marco, where 20 young and emerging artists exhibit their works. All the artists study and live in Triveneto, come from different parts of Europe and Italy and their ages range from 18 to 35 years old. These works are part of the competition that was presided by Angela Vettese, President of the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, the critics, journalists, artists and the contemporary art gallery, as well as the artist Giorgio Andreotta Calo, Federico Luger, from the Milan gallery, Andrea Quemado, who is the artistic director of the Municipal Gallery of Contemporary Art of Monfalcone, Alessandre Pioselli, who is the director of Fine Arts of Carrara and the Accademmia in Bergamo, the artist Luca Trevisani and Samuel Menín, the chief redactor of Flash Art. On this occasion they exhibit the works presented in paintings, sculptures, graphic design and posters. The names of the selected ones are: mes Artusi, Roberto Fassone, Roberta Busechian, Joseph Abate, Teresa Cos, Fabio De Meo, Tea De Lotto, Piergiorgio Del Ben, Luigi Leaci, Nicole Moserle, Georgio Micco, Jacobo Trabona, Valerio Nicolai, Gioele Peressini, Laura Pozzar, Rastelli Simone, Claudia Rossini, Michele Spanghero, Daniel Zoico y Borettaz Cecilia. From these emerging artists, the awarded works and their prize money were as follows: Teresa Cos, with 3000€ and Valerio Nicolai and Roberto Fassone with a 2000€ grant. Also, Luigi Leaci was awarded with 1500€.
