Wagner Museum

The Wagner Museum in Venice is located in the Palazzo Ca´ Vendramin Calergi, which is one of the city´s most beautiful constructions and it´s a building where, throughout history, was inhabited by very important people.   The government of Venice decided to house the Wagner Museum in this place because it´s the place where the famous German composer Richard Wagner died.   The artist stayed six times in Venice between 1858 and the day that he died and, the last time, he rented the whole floor of the Palazzo Ca´ Vendramin, where he was staying, which was, at that time, property of the Count of Bardi.   Wagner died from a heart attack in the palace on February 13th 1883 at 69 years of age, and today it´s converted in his museum. At the place there´s an inscription that the novelist and poet Gabriele D´Annunzio wrote, that says: “In this palace the souls heard the last breath of Richard Wagner”.   Without doubt, as well as the imposing construction of the building, the museum is worthy of being visited. La Zucca

Once that they took pizza off the vegetarian meal options, finding a restaurant of that style in Venice is really complicated and, despite La Zucca not being completely dedicated to that type of dishes, it´s ideal for those who love vegetables because it´s one of the few that has its own vegetable garden where they grow what they use.   La Zucca is a small restaurant with only two atmospheres and a capacity for 30 or 35 people, although this number rises when the weather is good because the organization of the place puts tables outside the door. The decoration is very homely and cozy, ideal to relax and enjoy the best meal with your friends or partner.   The decoration is wood-based with tables, chairs and wines in sight so you can choose them to enjoy and exploit the flavours of your meal.   Zucca is managed by two people that take turns in cooking and they´re in charge of changing the menu, which isn´t very extensive because all the meals are homemade from one day to the other with different and exquisite options.   This beautiful place is one of the best restaurants in the city and you can rent apartments in Venice to enjoy this exquisite...

Al Paradiso

Al Paradiso is a restaurant that was born in the head of the chef and owner, called Annamaria, in 1966, when there was only one waitress attending the customers while she cooked. Some time later, in 1994, the woman, her husband Aurelio and her daughter Federica became the owners of the place where the restaurant is today and they renovated it completely giving it a harmonic effect.   The place inspires itself in the food of a great master called Gianna Cosetti, who worked in the place in 1998 and 1999 and Annamaria, who worked next to him during all that time, learnt his secrets and she exploits them as much as possible in the kitchen, modifying them and creating her own dishes and recipes.   The wine list is really interesting and it´s made up by both regional producers and international ones and Federica, who is in charge of this section, will recommend the best wines to accompany the meals that you´ve ordered.   The place is in a building that dates from the 16th century, with a small reception and three halls inside where you can sit, approximately, 90 people.   Al Paradiso is one of the best and most famous restaurants that the city has and you can rent apartments in Venice to enjoy its...
