Vincent Van Gogh is one of the most important artists in history and his works of art were a turning point. For that reason, the Van Gogh Museum, which is in Amsterdam, is one of the most important in the world.

After the death of the artist in 1890, the works that weren´t sold ended up in the hands of his brother Theo, who died six months later and therefore widowing Johanna Van Gogh-Bonger, who sold the works so that the artist would be famous.
Eventually, that collection ended up in the Stedelijk Museum and they were transferred finally to the Vincent Van Gogh Foundation in 1962 who ended up founding the museum of the artist.
