The London Eye is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the city of London. It´s 135 metres tall and it´s the biggest platform in the world that works as a city terrace.
It was built in 2000 and, since then, it´s become in yet another tourist spot in the city of London. The architects and designers were Marks Banfield Architects and, after having this work finished, they won 75 tourist prizes both nationally and internationally, but also recognition for its architectonic and engineering quality.
Up until today, more than thirty millions people from around the world have visited the London Eye and many of them have come back for another wonderful experience.
The London Eye is a terrace of the city that has the shape of a wheel, with many cabins that go around in the air and they allow the tourist a complete view of London. Also, some special events take place on board the London Eye, such as the celebration of weddings in an atypical but nice ceremony.
