New York´s Comic-con or the Anime Festival, as this festival is also known as, takes place at the Jacob Javits Center in the Big Apple during the month of October. The meeting gathers the lovers of anime characters in all their different versions (comic, video, literature, etc, etc.) in a celebration not suitable for claustrophobics, such is the amount of people who are interested and who attend the festival daily.
The organizers offer a series of stands where you can buy, sell or exchange issues. This is complete with a series of parallel activities with talks and conferences ´in situ´, to which they invite the best of the genre (Stan Lee, Kevin Smith, John Romita and Frank Miller Sr. and Jr.) with complete parallel information through the tools of Web 2.0.
The Big Apple increases its activity in October with the entry of the new academic year, so if you´re travelling there to attend this convention, unmissable for all anime fans, you´ll have to book some of the great apartments in New york before you fly out. There you´ll be able to enjoy your buys and you will even have, with a bit of luck, magnificent views of this huge and spectacular city.
