Park Városliget Budapest

Városliget Park, also known as City Park, is located in Budapest, and it´s one of the most beautiful places in the city, with plenty of green to enjoy with friends or family. This place was used by the royalty to hunt for a long time but, in the 18th and 19th century, it slowly transformed into what it is today.

 

The park´s dimensions are 1,400 by 900 metres, and it´s one of the first public parks created around the world. Inside you can also find very interesting places, among them a theme park, a zoo, the Széchenyi baths and Vajdahunyad Castle, all places which are worthy of being visited.

 

The castle, maybe the most important of them all, was built in wood for an exhibition which took place in 1896 and, when the exhibition finished, it was rebuilt in wood. Inside there´s an agriculture museum and a small but beautiful church.
